We are always looking for more members of our community of faith to assist with Masses and special services. Please contact the parish office at 410-721-5770 if you would like to get involved.
Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon at the altar by carrying the processional cross, lighting the candles, holding the books, setting the altar, carrying the incense and a variety of other tasks during our services. They assist at all Masses, Stations of the Cross, Benediction, and other special events. Both youth (grade 5 and up) and adults are eligible for this ministry. If you are interested in becoming an altar server, please speak with one of our deacons after Mass or call the parish office at 410-721-5770.
Ministers of Communion assist with sharing the Eucharist at weekend and weekday liturgies. Some also take the Eucharist to those unable to attend church due to illness or confinement, including residents of Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center and Household of Angels Assisted Living Center.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Masses and special services throughout the year. The goal is a prayerful and meaningful proclamation, resulting in a more meaningful liturgical celebration.
Ushers are our Ministers of Hospitality who provide a welcoming atmosphere, collect the offerings, assist with the Presentation of the Gifts, and see to special needs of members of the community as they gather for worship. Ushers also assist at Holy Day, wedding, funeral and sacramental liturgies. If you are interested in becoming an usher or would like more information, please contact Bob Iacaruso at email@example.com or 410-721-8211.
LITURGICAL MINISTER SCHEDULES
The schedules and rosters for altar servers, Eucharistic ministers, lectors, ushers and Eucharistic adoration leaders are prepared using Ministry Scheduler Pro commercial software and are available on the Liturgical Ministers Web Terminal. Liturgical ministers may enter dates when unavailable for future scheduling, review requests for substitute ministers, and volunteer for these and other unfilled positions on the Web Terminal. All schedules on the Web Terminal are “live” and are instantly updated as substitutions and other assignments are made. These on-line schedules are always current. Hard-copy schedules posted at the church will not contain any changes made after the print date. Liturgical ministers should always rely on the schedules available on the Web Terminal to verify their own serving dates and to see what other ministers are serving with them. To access the Web Terminal, click on the link below. This information is available only to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton liturgical ministers. A user name and password is required for access. If you would like to view a tutorial on the use of the Web Terminal, click here.
