St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish in Crofton, Maryland is looking forward to welcoming your little one into our community of faith. There are three steps for the sacrament of Baptism:
Is your family registered at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish? If not, please click here to complete our parish registration form and then come back to this Baptismal Registration page. If you are already a parishioner please continue to the next step.
Please complete the Baptismal Registration Form at the bottom of this page.
Upon registration, you will receive a follow-up email directing you to register for a Baptismal preparation class.
Please stop by the Hospitality Desk in the Narthex after any Mass to pick up your Starting Point book. You MUST have your book before attending the Baptismal preparation class.
Baptisms are held on the second Saturday of the month at the 4:30 p.m. Mass and the second and fourth Sunday of the month at 12:15 p.m. The only exception would be that baptisms are not held during Advent and Lent.
Parents are required, and Godparents are encouraged, to participate in a Baptism preparation class conducted by the Baptism Preparation Team, which is held once a month on the 1st Monday of the month unless it is a holiday when it takes place on the 2nd Monday of the month. When all paperwork is completed and parents have attended class, the parish office will schedule the baptism date.
The Catholic godparents - male and female – must be practicing, confirmed Catholics sixteen years of age or older. They must obtain a letter or sponsor certificate from their parish indicating their parish membership and qualification to act as a sponsor for the sacrament of baptism.
