Dear Parishioners - August 12th marked the one year anniversary of the white supremacist march in Charlottesville, VA and the counter protest. We remember those who died on that day. Over the year I asked the Parish Staff and the Pastoral Council (in concert with the standing committees) to honestly talk about the sin of racism and to provide their input to the Pastoral Council, who then summarized their thoughts to be shared with our parish community. The Council’s response is now available. I urge you to commit not only to praying, but also listening, learning, thinking and working for peace, justice and an end to racism. Our faith calls us to be witnesses of the Gospel. Be that witness in working to eliminate racism and discrimination within our culture! ~ Fr. Paul
