Seton Weekly Update 5/6/22

Posted on May 08, 2022 in: General News

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Happy Mothers’ Day to all Moms in our community this Sunday! We celebrate your devotion and selfless love, and we give thanks for the example you give us.

The Lord looks after us, and we give thanks that he provides for us what we cannot otherwise provide for ourselves. Our hope for heaven—the real gift of God—is what keeps us trusting in his Word and open to receiving his gifts. Jesus’ words in today’s gospel echo this truth as he presents himself as our Good Shepherd: “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish” ( Jn. 10:27ff ). No one else can promise that, because no one else can make that happen!

Please consider volunteering for Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW). Resources and training are provided. Please contact for more information or to volunteer. I would also like to bring back Donut Sundays. We are almost there! Please invite your family and friends to help us with this community building activity! Please read this weekend’s bulletin for more information!

Next Sunday, May 15, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary with our May Procession. We will process to the Mary statue in the grotto behind the church after the 11:00 a.m. Mass.  I invite everyone to join me for this special devotion to the Mother of our Lord.  Those families who are registered in the Root program are especially encouraged to participate as part of their faith formation journey.

In Christ,
Fr. Paul
