Seton Mass instructions

About this Event

Please note the following guidelines that we will be following to ensure everyone's safety. These guidelines come from the State of Maryland, Anne Arundel county and the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Please take your temperature before you come to Mass. If you have a temperature over 100 degrees, sore throat, persistent cough or not feeling well. PLEASE STAY HOME!

Older adults, those with underlying health conditions or if you are not comfortable to return to Mass are encouraged to watch the live-stream Mass from the safety of their homes. For more information please visit the CDC website.

Families with small children who may not be able to maintain physical distancing or not keep their masks on are also encouraged to watch the live-stream Mass.

Our official livestream Mass is Sunday at 9:30 am. The Gloria, the Creed, and the Act of Spiritual Communion will appear on the screen at the appropriate times during this Mass. Our live-streamed masses are also archived on our parish website www.seaseton.org/media.

Dispensation from the Sunday Mass obligation by Archbishop Lori continues until further notice.

We will be following a modified Mass schedule (Saturday, 4:30pm and Sunday, 9:30am and 5:30pm) until we are more familiar with our procedures during the pandemic.

Each service will operate at 1/4 capacity to maintain social distancing.

Face masks MUST be worn by ALL adults and children ages 2 and older before you exit your vehicle, throughout Mass and when you return to your vehicle.

You will be seated by the Volunteers in order to observe social distancing and to adequately utilize our 1/4 capacity. You may not be able to sit in your “usual” seat.

We ask that you wear long pants/jeans or bring a beach towel to minimize contact with our fabric seats.

Bathrooms are for emergencies only during this time.

Please use the restroom before leaving your home and wash your hands for 20 seconds.

Maintain social distancing if you are waiting to get into the church and to be seated. Plan on arriving 20 minutes early so people can be directed to their seats.

Families in the same household will be seated together as one unit.

Those with limited mobility will be seated in the back and the Priest will come to you. If you need a low-gluten host, please let us know.

Enter and exit through the Main Entrance. All other doors will be locked. Please observe signage and follow all directions from the Volunteers.

All hymnals have been removed. There will be no congregational singing. Download the Worship Aid on your device. Engage and "participate" by paying special attention to and pondering on the lyrics and/or the music.

Offertory baskets will be in the narthex. Please place your offering in the basket on the way in or when you exit. Consider our online giving option available on our website, www.seaseton.org.

Holy Communion will be distributed at the end of Mass. Follow the directions of the Volunteers. Please be prepared to exit the church after receiving the Eucharist and move directly to your vehicle.

Unfortunately, the Clergy are not allowed to greet people before or after Mass.

For the bulletin, Worship Aid and latest news from Seton Parish, go to www.seaseton.org.

When leaving the church after Mass, please do not congregate outside the church or in the parking lot.

Please follow all directions from the Volunteers and the Staff.

We are doing the best we can in a difficult and changing situation. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
