CHRISTMAS GIFT CARDS FOR KIDS 2020
WHAT: We are collecting $25 Target or Walmart gift cards to give to local parents who have signed up in the Food Pantry to buy gifts for their children under 18. Last year we helped 93 children from 30 families.
HOW TO HELP: You may either buy the gift cards yourself and return them to Seton or contribute money and we will purchase the cards. You may send a check, cash, or give through GiveCentral but be sure to note that it is for “GIFT CARDS FOR KIDS”.
WHEN: Gift cards will be distributed to families at the beginning of December, so we need to have money or gift cards by NOVEMBER 30. Questions: Call Susan Bixby 410 721-8724 or email wwbixby@comcast.net
CHRISTMAS DINNERS 2020
WHAT: We will be providing Christmas dinners to the Senior Citizens at St. Gregory’s and local families who have signed up in the pantry.
WHEN: Dinners may be brought in after Thanksgiving. We will receive them the same way we did the Thanksgiving bags. A table will be set up outside the Parish center during Food Pantry hours Monday and Wednesday, from 10-12:30 the first two weeks of December or Sunday from 2-3 on December 6. Delivery is DECEMBER 12 so there are only two weeks to collect the dinners!
WHAT: A Christmas dinner containing the items below should be packed in a reusable bag. If you are able, attach a $20 check for a turkey (or ham) payable to Seton with your dinner. Donations of money toward this program are also accepted. Be sure to note it is for “Christmas Dinners”
1 lg mashed potatoes (12 servings) 1 lg sweet potatoes (40 oz)
1 lg or 2 small stuffing 3 vegetables (14.5 oz)
1 can evaporated milk 2 boxes of mac ‘n cheese

Christmas Adopt-a-Family
WHAT: This is our annual Christmas Adopt a Family outreach to children at St. Gregory the Great. We ask that parishioners provide wrapped gifts of clothing and toys to the children of the families ($40 - $50 per child) and include a gift card for Giant. The families are all sizes, that is one to four children, ages from newborn to 16 years.
WHEN: Beginning November 23 rd , gifts should be brought to Church on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 - 4 or Sunday before and after all the Masses. We ask that all gifts be delivered no later than December 7th.
HOW TO HELP: Because of COVID precautions, we will not have tables for volunteering. If you want to sponsor a family or have questions, don’t hesitate to contact either Maureen Sapero (410)721-9163 or msapero1@verizon.net or Amy Jenkins 301-659-0967 or mysterymaven73@gmail.com.
CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR ST. GREGORY’S SENIOR CITIZENS
WHAT: We will be providing Christmas gifts for 68 senior citizens at St. Gregory’s in Baltimore (53 females and 15 males). This season’s request is for lap robes and/or a set of towels. As in past years you can add toiletries. Gifts should be packaged in gift bags. Your gift will likely be the only gift these individuals receive.
HOW TO HELP: Contact Marianne or Larry Cernosek at 410-721-7578 or email cernosek@verizon.net by December 1 to obtain the name of a senior citizen. If you are unable to purchase a gift but would like to participate in this program you can send a check marked Senior Citizen Gift Program to the church ASAP and we will shop for you.
IMPORTANT DATES: Gifts may be brought to the main parish hall entrance after Thanksgiving on Monday or Wednesday (November 30, December 2, December 7 and December 9) between 9 am and 4:00 pm. Use the intercom to request that the door be unlocked and leave your gift just inside the door. Gifts may also be delivered to church during Mass (4:30, 9:30 and 5:30) the weekends of 28 November and 5 December. If these dates don’t work, gifts may be dropped off outside the parish center on Sunday December 6 between 2 and 4 pm. Delivery to St. Gregory’s is December 12. Call Marianne or Larry Cernosek with any questions at 410 721-7578 or email cernosek@verizon.net.
