Parish Update - 5/12/2020

Posted on May 12, 2020

Dear Seton Parishioners,

First and foremost, all of us on the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Finance Council hope all of you are doing well, staying healthy and adapting to our new realities for school and work. In so many ways we are living in unprecedented times.

The Finance Council would also like to take a moment and thank each parishioner for your continued support of the parish.  All things considered and thanks to your generous support, the parish is on sound footing financially for now and we are able to meet all our obligations.

Please continue however to stay mindful that while the parish staff have reduced operating expenses and continue to look for ways to further reduce costs, the fact remains that many of the expenses of running the parish still exist, such as payroll and benefits for staff and religious personnel, utility bills, security, insurance and required maintenance.

Even during these difficult times our parish community is still functioning.  Mass continues to be live streamed on the parish Facebook page Monday-Thursday at 9:00am, Sundays at 9:30am and the daily Marian devotions (the Angelus and Regina Caeli) at 12 Noon. If you miss these, they are archived on the parish website,, click on the “media” link.

First Holy Communion Masses, Confirmation and the celebrations of initiating those entering into the Catholic Church have been postponed until further notice. The parish staff continues to work remotely and are  available by email and are checking their voicemails during business hours.  I ask each of you to please keep up with your offertory commitments to the parish, provided that your own personal financial circumstances have not been too adversely impacted by the Coronavirus. You may mail your offertory gift contribution to the church or give through our online system, GiveCentral— If you are in the fortunate position of being able to give a bit more than usual, please consider doing so.

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church has been an integral part of our families and faith life since 1976.  Please do whatever you can to make sure that our parish can continue to thrive during these difficult and trying times.

Thank you for your continued generous support of Seton parish and all its vital ministries.

Chair, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Finance Council
