Parish Update - 4/7/2020

Posted on April 07, 2020

Dear Seton Family,

As we continue our journey with Jesus during Holy Week, we are facing immense challenges this year. With increased isolation from family and friends, from work and school, and even from our parish community, it could prove difficult to express our love and devotion, or to mark this week as different from any other days right now. I encourage you to carve out time to pray and to reflect on the mysteries of the Lord’s Passion and Death, giving thanks for the depth of his love revealed on the Cross.

As a reminder, all of our services for the triduum (“Three days”)  and Easter Sunday will be live-streamed, on the parish Facebook (link) and YouTube (link), and the Angelus every day at 12 noon, except on Good Friday and Holy Saturday. (If you do not have a facebook but wish to watch our livestream, click here). Please mark your calendars and follow the schedule below:

HOLY THURSDAY, APRIL 9
7:00pm Mass of the Lord’s Supper

GOOD FRIDAY OF THE LORD’S PASSION, APRIL 10
12:00 Noon  Stations of the Cross
7:00pm  Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion

HOLY SATURDAY, APRIL 11
8:00pm Easter Vigil

EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 12
11:00am Mass

On each of these days, we will provide a downloadable Worship Aid so that you can follow along. Please be on the lookout for Flocknotes on Thursday through Easter Sunday!

Even though we cannot be together, the message of the Resurrection of Jesus at Easter is no less real, and all the more welcome at this moment. Let us stay together in spirit and faith in these holy days.

AND...Remember to email Liam.Benton@seaseton.org a photo of you and/or your household dressed in your Sunday best (or your comfy home viewing attire) so that I can see all the seats in the church filled with your smiling faces!  The deadline for this is tomorrow so please send your photo in ASAP!

In Christ,
Fr. Paul
