Dear Friends,

This is Corpus Christi Sunday, the yearly feast when the church reflects upon the place and importance of the Eucharist in our lives as Catholics.  We believe that there is nothing more important in our spiritual lives than participation in and reception of the Eucharist, which we hold to be the Body & Blood of the Risen Christ.  In honor of today’s feast, there will be a period of Eucharistic Adoration from the close of the 11AM Mass until the beginning of the 5:30 evening Mass. 

You will notice in front of the altar this weekend are first class relics (physical remains) of our patroness St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Blessed Carlo Acutis (May 3, 1991 – October 12, 2006).  Carlo was an English-born Catholic youth and website designer who is best known for documenting Eucharist miracles around the world and cataloguing them into a website he created before his untimely death from leukemia.  He was beatified on October 10, 2020 and is buried in Assisi according to his wishes.   

This is the final weekend for CLOW until September.   Many, many thanks to all adults and young assistants who facilitated the CLOW sessions over the past 9 months.   Your ministry to our youngest of parishioners is much appreciated.  

This is the weekend for our Family Faith Formation Fair for families to learn more about the faith formation and ministry opportunities offered by the parish for the upcoming school year.  The fair will be held in the parish hall and DONUTS will be served after the 9:30 Mass.

Don’t forget to register for Vacation Bible School (VBS) which will be held July 10-14 from 9am to 12noon.  

At Saturday’s 4:30 Mass we welcome into our Catholic faith community through the waters of baptism Vera Kathryn Quinzi.   Vera will also receive First Holy Communion along with Madison Mellis, Addison Mohl and Aerinne Avillanoza.   Congratulations to these young people and their families.  

Finally, you are invited to farewell reception for Brendan Walls who is retiring after 20+ years of ministry to our parish as Director of Music.  The reception will be on Sunday, June 25th beginning at 12Noon.
