Seton Weekly Update 3/31/23

Posted on March 31, 2023 in: General News

Dear friends,

Welcome to all who join us this Palm/Passion Sunday for the beginning of Holy Week.  It is always a pleasure to welcome guests to SETON parish.  Whether you are visiting family or friends or “Church shopping” you are most welcome here.

The BIG news this week – its HOLY WEEK!  This week is to the year what Sunday is to the week – a special time for reflection and worship where we celebrate the Passover of Jesus through death to new life and renew our relationship with the Lord and His Church.   A complete schedule of Holy Week services may be found in today’s bulletin and on our website www.seaseton.org.   The last scheduled time for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is Wednesday at 5:30-6:00 PM.

On Holy Thursday, the altar of reposition will be in the parish hall rather than the conference room.  This will allow more people to spend time in quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament after the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.  There will be a sign-up sheet to assure that there are at least 2 people present until night prayer at 9:30.

Interested in exploring the Catholic faith?  Looking for a church-home?  Have you been coming to Mass with your family for years but never became Catholic?   I’ll be holding an “Inquiry” session on Wednesday, April 19th for those who would like to learn more about being Catholic.  “Inquiry” is a time to explore possibilities with no strings attached. If you’re interested, contact Sarah Jarzembowski at sarah.jarzembowski@seaseton.org for more info.

Have a Wonderful Holy Week!
