Dear friends,
This weekend we begin the final phase of Lent “Passiontide.” Mass prayers and scripture readings begin to focus us on the upcoming celebration of the Lord’s Passion and Death during Holy Week which begins next Sunday (Palm Sunday). By now, every registered household should have received a mailing from the parish detailing the times for Holy Week and Easter services and Masses. When you come to Mass next Sunday, be patient especially if someone is sitting in “your chair.” Please offer a warm word of welcome to visitors who will join us for Palm Sunday. Palm will be blest at every Mass.
The Sacrament of Penance (confession) has long been associated with the Lenten season. Times between now and Easter for Confessions:
- Saturday (March 25th) 3:30-4:00 PM
- Wednesday Evenings (March 29th & April 5th) - 5:30 PM
- Saturday (April 1st) 3:00-4:30PM (2 Priests)
This weekend there will be a blessing of expectant mothers at all Masses in honor of the Feast of the Annunciation (March 25th). The Annunciation celebrates Jesus taking flesh in the womb of our Blessed Mother when the Angel Gabriel was sent by God to ask her to become the mother of Jesus. If you know a mother to be, invite her to join you for Mass and the blessing this weekend.
Many thanks to all who made possible last Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Party. It was a great family event with approximately 125 in attendance. A special thanks to the Hunt School of Irish Dance for bringing their amazing dancers to the party.
Last weekend 235 joined us for Mass via livestream! The plan is to install new web cameras in the near future that will serve our virtual community with greater clarity and reliability.
Have a Good Week!
Msgr. Woy
PS: Just a reminder, low gluten hosts are available for those who are gluten intolerant. Please present yourself last in line to either the priest celebrant or deacon.

Weekly Updates:
- HAITI - LENTEN GIVING TREE UPDATE
There are still 158 names left. Please consider adding a leaf to the “Giving Tree“ to “adopt” a child for the school year. Each leaf has the name of a child in the preschool in our sister parish in Haiti. Your donation will feed a child a hot lunch for every day for the rest of the school year and assist with the purchase of uniforms and books.
- BECOME AN USHER – SIGN UP AFTER MASS
Ushers are the first contact people have when entering our church, providing an atmosphere of warm friendliness and hospitality. Ushers also open and close the church, collect and see to the safety of the contributions, ensure a smooth flow of traffic in the church, and make sure there is no stranger among us. They can be men or women of any age who would like to help and who have a friendly smile.
