Dear Friends,
It’s a relatively quiet weekend at SETON after a very busy Christmas and early January full of events.
The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity began on January 18th. Here is a prayer for all of us to say over the next few days:
Loving God, we ask that you grant us the spirit of wisdom and unity, so that we may be one, even as you are one with our Lord Jesus Christ - and he with you. Enable all the members of the body of Christ to live together in unity and fellowship with one another and lead us into the paths of peace and righteousness so that we may be well pleasing in your sight.
We ask you to teach us how to love one another as Christ loved us and help us to show one another the unusual kindness that can only come from knowing your Son, Jesus. May the Spirit stir up in our hearts a desire to be united as one, in the bond of peace and fellowship. This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
Next weekend (29th) is the beginning of Catholic Schools Week. Please welcome to our parish children who are students at The School of the Incarnation (SOTI), Msgr. Slade, St. Pius X and other area Catholic Schools.
Many thanks for those who signed up to help with Winter Relief. The week of February 6th we will host 25 homeless individuals from our area. Our guests will arrive each evening in time for the evening meal and depart the next morning after breakfast. If you are interested in helping contact the parish office. Also, there are opportunities for donations for specific needs. Keep reading the bulletin for more details.
All are invited to a DONUT and Welcome Reception for new parishioners after the 9:30 Mass next Sunday (29). If you are new to the parish over the past year, consider yourself invited.
We continue to be busy with funerals. Please remember in your prayers the repose of the soul of Marcel (Joe) Henry whose funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday. Joe is survived by his wife of 65 years Marcia and seven sons.
Finally, we welcome into our Catholic faith community Jonathan Louis Caldwell son of Michael and Nicole Caldwell. Jonathan will be baptized by his uncle, Fr. Michael Lamanna, SJ.
Have a Good Week!
Msgr. Woy
P.S.: Rumor has it that there is a St. Patrick’s Day party being planned for Saturday, March 18th! Save the date!
