Seek is an on-ramp experience of initial faith formation. It’s designed for younger children, around the ages of 6 through 10. That age range is a guide, not a rule, as Seek is formatted like a Vacation Bible School with song, dance, crafts and skits. Please chat with us before enrolling any significantly younger or older children in Seek so we can discern together if it is a good fit for them.
Seek for Children is the basic proclamation of the Gospel: God exists; God is goodness and love; God created everything – including us, out of goodness and love; we chose to turn away from God so Jesus came to save us; Jesus sent the Holy Spirit and gave us the Church to help us on our journey to our forever home in Heaven.
Seek for Parents is an opportunity for you to reflect on your experiences of parenting, of God, faith, and the Church; to share those experiences with other parents in small discussion groups; to decide which of these experiences you want to pass on to your children. Seek for parents is also very accessible to those who do not share our Catholic faith. There will be a shared family prayer experience to end each session as well as little activities to do at home in-between sessions, so it’s very important for at least one parent to participate in Seek along with his/her child(ren).
Seek is an ON-PROPERTY experience held here at the Church. SEEK is a 4 week series on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am - 10:15 am.
We ask for $60 per family and $20 per additional child to cover the cost of the materials, but scholarships are available for the asking. Please just send Sarah.Jarzembowski@seaseton.org an email stating that you’re requesting a scholarship as this helps us with our record keeping. You can pay on-line through our secure Give Central site by clicking here or by sending a check in to the parish office. If sending a check, please write “Seek” on the memo line.
