Children's Faith Formation

Important Dates:

To enroll your child(ren) for Faith Formation K-8, please review the following options:

SEEK will return! Seek is an on-ramp experience of initial faith formation.  It’s designed for younger children, around the ages of 6 through 10.  That age range is a guide, not a rule, as Seek is formatted like a Vacation Bible School with song, dance, crafts and skits.  Please chat with us before enrolling any significantly younger or older children in Seek so we can discern together if it is a good fit for them. For an indepth description about Seek, please click here.

A family experience about the corporal and spiritual works of mercy. Over 15 family meetings, families will wrestle with and live out the command of Jesus: "love one another as I love you" (John 15:12).

Wonder is an ongoing formation experience for the entire family. Families will encounter the power of storytelling in the parables of Jesus through engaging their imaginations, hands-on activities, and meaningful conversations.

A family experience about the Saints and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Over 8 family meetings, families will cook a recipe related to the life of a Saint and learn about a gift of the Holy Spirit lived out in their lives.

SACRAMENTAL OPTIONS:

The sacramental preparation programs are Mend (1st Reconciliation) & Nourish (1st Communion).

Introduction to Faith Formation

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) is offered for children in preschool through second grade or until the child receives First Eucharist. It is designed to offer the Sunday Gospel Readings on a level better understood by children, in a smaller setting, during the 9:30a.m. Mass on Sundays. The children are dismissed from Mass and gather in a separate space to hear the scriptures proclaimed, sing a psalm, pray the Apostles Creed and offer intercessions in prayer, then return to Mass for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
