Through our worship, we recognize the reality of who God is and what God has done and continues to do for us. Worship is a way of life and involves our whole being. And so, it includes a whole variety of liturgical actions, images, rituals and relationships that awaken us to God’s never-ending presence in our lives, and places us in a deepening relationship with God and with one another.
But it is the celebration of the Eucharist that is for us the source and summit of our Christian life and has been from the earliest days of the church. At every celebration, we are spiritually brought back to the paschal Triduum: to the events of the evening of Holy Thursday, to the Last Supper and to what followed it. It is at the heart of who we are as a believing community.
