An opportunity during Lent—to fast, pray and give alms! To provide our parish with a community experience to witness our solidarity with the poor, a simple meal of soup and bread is served each Friday during Lent in the Fr. Connelly Parish Center. The meals are prepared by the various committees and organizations of the parish. The meal begins with an opening prayer at 6:30pm and any donation given toward the meal benefits our sister parishes---St. Gregory in Baltimore, Maryland—and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Liancourt, Haiti. Following the meal, the Stations of the Cross can be prayed in the Church at 7:30pm.
Dates for 2010-for Soup and Bread and Stations of the Cross are—February 19, February 26, March 5, March 12, March 19, and March 26
Soup and Bread and Stations of the Cross are not held on Good Friday.
