Little Rock Scripture Study
Each fall and winter, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish offers a program to study Sacred Scripture. Over the past years, the Little Rock Scripture Study has been used. This program consists of daily personal reflection, weekly small-group sharing, a weekly lecture (video) and prayer. The method is designed to create a balance between learning about the Bible and applying the Bible to our daily lives. The constant challenge of the Christian life is to relate our own lives with what God had done in the lives of people throughout history.
This program appeals both to those who have never studied the Bible before and to those who have been reading the Bible for quite a while. Each participant receives both a study guide and a commentary for the Scripture studied in a particular year. These are available for purchase in the parish office. There is no other fee for the course.
Meetings are held twice a week---one in the morning and one at night in order to accommodate the participants’ various schedules.
Evenings - Monday -- 7:00pm-8:30pm in the Ark (second floor of the Fr. Connelly Parish Center). Facilitator: Sister Katherine O’Donnell, RSM
Mornings - Tuesday -- 10:30am–12:00pm in the Ark. Facilitator: Deacon Fred Seibold
