Sarah's House

Sarah's House is a supportive housing program, offering emergency and transitional housing with an array of other services for homeless families in Anne Arundel County.  The Sarah’s House mission is to provide safe shelter, daily meals, and casework support for those in need.  They typically house approximately 60-80 residents with most of them being children.

Volunteers are needed to start another group to provide a meal. We provide food for approximately 50 people (men, women and lots of children). We bring the meal to Sarah’s House and serve the nights we have been assigned and then we do the clean up.

Please contact Barbara Emden at Barbara.emden@seaseton.org for more information or to volunteer.

We can always take a dessert to Sarah’s House if a volunteer would like to make one and this is especially good for students who need service hours. They need to make a dessert to serve 50, drop it off to me and I will make sure it gets to Sarah’s House. The volunteer can also drop off at Sarah’s House.

Sarah’s House address is: 2015 20th Street, Ft. Meade, MD 20755-1301; phone number: 410-551-7722; the volunteer coordinator is Bruce Clopein, extension 213.
