A New Approach

What:    A basic introduction to the Catholic Faith for non-church goers, 
       new Catholics and faithful parishioners.  Join others in a relaxed atmosphere.  
Each weekly session begins with a simple dinner.

Caregiver Support Group

       When:    First Tuesday of the month
                                         Beginning September 4, 2007 through August 5, 2008

Time:    7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Where:    ARK (in Parish Center)

Enter through the breezeway door

        If you are feeling the stress of caring for an ill or elderly loved one, why not join us for these monthly gatherings. Mary Fridley’s expertise continues to be a tremendous support. Be assured of a warm welcome, hot coffee, and some relief.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults)
RCIA Calendar 2007-2008

 When:    Thursday evenings, beginning September 6, 2007

Time:    7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

                Where:    ARK (upstairs in the Parish Center)

Focus:    Non-Catholic Adults interested in learning about the Catholic Faith in an informal, friendly environment.

Overnight Retreat:    February 22 & 23, 2008 at Bon Secours Spiritual Center, Marriottsville

A time for men to meet on their way home from work to reflect on and share various topics from 
Everyday Spirituality:  A Practical Guide to Spiritual Growth by Robert Wicks.

  Re-Membering Program
Our way of inviting non-active Catholics to come home
Re-Membering is designed to meet individual needs in a small group setting that includes: those who are considering a return to full membership in the church; parishioners who share the experience of their own journey; 
and parish staff and lay leaders who provide information and support.

Topics of general interest to those who have been away will be addressed. There will be opportunities to: understand the church as it is today; heal any pain or hurt that has taken place; begin to feel at home in the church.

INTER-PARISH LENTEN DAY OF REFLECTION

VARIOUS WAYS TO PRAY

March 13, 14, 15, 2006

On Saturday, March 10, 2007 participants can choose to attend three of five session offered at St. Joseph church in Odenton. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. and going until 3:00 p.m. sessions on Various Ways to Pray will be offered by Sister Kathleen White, OSB ( Centering Prayer), Fatehr Jim Donahue (Lectio Divina), Father Jeff Dauses (Contrmplative Prayer), Sister Angela Case. SSJ (Prayer of the Labyrinth), and Susan Dobrzykowski & Sister Katherine O'Donnell,RSM (Traditional Forms of Catholic Prayer). Special sessions for teens, Morning refreshments are offered and lunch is provided .Child care is available for ages 2-10 the cost is 10.00 per child. Cost of this lecture series is $10.00 per person.

Lenten Faith Sharing Groups

During Lent of 2008, our parish will continue the tradition of the Disciples in Mission program that we hav had for the past three years by meeting each week in small groups to share the Sunday lectionary readings. Reflection booklets will be available for each individual.
